I’m so glad you are here!
I grew up in the central part of Louisiana and currently live in the Lafayette area. I married my high school sweetheart, Mike – whom I probably would have never met had Hurricane Katrina not happened and evacuated his family to my hometown. Together we are raising (and chasing) two busy toddlers – Sutton (2) and Ezra (1). Oh, and we have an 11 year old fur pup named London (our first baby!). I like to read, binge watch TV shows, exercising and a good glass of red wine. Sweets are my weakness! Life is short – eat dessert first, right? I am a full-time working mom by day, chasing a dream by night!
I have loved fashion since I can remember. As a kid, I loved putting together outfits and all the matching accessories (hello to the 90s, 2000s fashion trends!). Reflecting back, I had a knack for decorating a space as well. I remember my parents letting me re-do my room one time down to picking a paint color and updating my bedding and I thought that was the coolest thing! I would move my furniture around all the time too. Little did I know, that those experiences as a child with styling and decorating would basically be my start and carry me to who I am today.
I am a creative at heart and love to transform things. Something about the process of seeing where something started to how it finishes and comes to life gets me. While my passion for fashion has always been a staple and is a big part of Styled + Grace, the “Style” in Styled + Grace also encompasses the style you seek in your home and everyday life.
We bought our first home together in 2016 and I quickly set out making that house into a home one project at a time. That is where my love for home decor and making a space your own and full of what you love took off. We moved again in 2020 (3 doors down from our other home) and this time, I had bigger plans for transformation. No major renovation required, just one project at a time! Making a space your own doesn’t have to mean major renovation – it definitely can – but it doesn’t have to and that is what I share here in this space. Inspiration that is attainable for everyone.
Styled + Grace also includes some things for my fellow mamas. Motherhood takes a village, y’all! I don’t claim to have it all figured out, but I hope to provide you inspiration through ideas, crafty things, and anything else that I think is helpful as we navigate motherhood.
Lastly, be sure to join my email list below! I will not email you daily, but I will share content that I find valuable and keep you updated with what’s happening here on the blog. On another note, I promise to always share things I love and provide honest reviews as well. If I wouldn’t recommend it to my mom, sister-in-law or closest friends, I will not recommend it to you.
My hope and prayer is that Styled + Grace is a space that gives you inspiration in style – whether for yourself or your home – while also throwing in a mix of motherhood and family life. So, this is your reminder that you can create a beautiful life and to show yourself a little grace along the way.
